Geo-INQUIRE Annual Meeting and Project General Assembly

News

On the 04 and 05 October 2023, the Geo-INQUIRE Annual Meeting and the 2nd Project General Assembly took place at the Polo Didattico, in the commune of Garbatela, in Rome.

The event was organised by the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Volcanologia (INGV) and the Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ) in hybrid mode. On site, 60 project members from 11 countries and 25 partners organisations participated in the meeting. The virtual attendance was very significant as well, with all partner organisations and additional 50 project members attending the different thematic sessions. Members of the External Review and Advisory Board (ERAB) from Australia, France and the United States also participated both on site and virtually.

During the two days of open meetings, all project work packages had the opportunity to meet in person in the internal breakout sessions, present their progress from the first project year in plenary sessions, and discuss the goals and planned activities for the upcoming project year. The meeting had a strong focus on cross-cutting activities, centring around synergies among work packages and with external communities.

The Local Organising Team at INGV and the project coordination at GFZ thank everyone involved in the organisation and execution of the event!
