Welcome to the MOOC ‘Novel technologies and observing systems for geohazard and environmental monitoring: integrated approach of the Eastern Sicily test bed’ prepared withing the Geo-INQUIRE project. The materials were presented during the Geo-INQUIRE Summer School organised on 16-23 October 2025 on Sicily, Italy.

The course will increase your knowledge of principles and techniques of the Fibre Optic Sensing, as well as introduce you to the Sensors and Observation Systems for European Plate Observing System (EPOS) and European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water column Observatory (EMSO).
